Where in the world can I find instructions on how to do anything with this? I've gone through the app and website but my phone doesn't recognize the Bluetooth device. I try to connect it but I press the search button and hold the button for 3 seconds and all it does is start the stopwatch. Have had it less than 12 hours and am already ready to take it back.

When you hold the button in, hold it longer than three seconds and you'll get the numbers to get set up.

That doesn't work either. I have no idea if I'm turning it on or off or
anything. The setup in the manual refers you to the app but the app isn't
helping me either. It says something about making Bluetooth in the app is
turned on but I followed those instructions to no avail.

Amen.  My flex bracelet broke for the third time so THEY sold me a ONE  no bracelet.  Can not sync to phone or PC.  If fitbit is known for anything it is for lack of instructions and support.  The only one worse is Bravo Tracker.  Both are good money after bad.

I was able to contact them and it came back that it was defective

@BeccaB  When you get the new one, set it up as a replacement, using these directions - click so your history is retained.
