Ionic not connecting with Huawei P10

Hello, 

About 6 months ago a received my Fitbit Ionic as a gift (before that i was using Blaze which worked excellent). Ionic worked OK for a few months and after a while i started having problems with syncing. Everything I tried was no good, so i deleted my app from my smartphone (huawei p10) and started setting up the device from scratch. So i start by adding new device. The phone finds the Ionic and the device gives me the four digit code. When i enter the code into my phone, "connecting" is writen on my phone and the device goes black but other than that, nothing happens. I have tried reseting the device by holding the buttons, deliting the app an reinstalling it, trying to connect via a diffrent phone and account and nothing helps.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks for sharing all of the steps that you have tried.

 

It is very possible that this is happening because the Huawei P10 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app is not fully optimized to work with that phone so maybe an update caused further optimization issues.

 

It is possible that it can work as long as the phone fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, but we cannot guarantee it. If you haven't, some users have mentioned that following the steps in this article has helped them when using phones that aren't on the list. Maybe you could give it a shot.
