My watch stopped syncing a couple of days ago as well. I went through all the usual troubleshooting - since the ionic has always had issues with syncing - but was unsuccessful. I verified the bluetooth worked by listening to music; tried to connect with the windows app; no success. So I went to the extraordinary effort of a 'factory reset'. After around 8 hours the reset was finally done. Strangely enough, somewhere during the process of the factory reset the watch managed to send one last bit of data to the phone app. When the reset was done, I was prompted to update the ionic. I ran that update - which ended on version 27.70.8.0. Since then, no sync whatsoever. The time is not even correct. It does seem to have some of the new functionality, but all of that mostly useless without sync; especially since it now fails at its most basic function - keeping time. My android app is version 3.4.2, which is the same as the latest version in the play store.

Hi @Charles_D, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.
Thank you for joining the thread and sharing the details of the issue with your watch. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts and letting me know that your app version is 3.4.2. Since our team has recently released a new version of the Fitbit app, please confirm the steps to update the app at
How do I update the Fitbit app? Time on your watch should be corrected when you sync it. If you continue experiencing difficulties with syncing, please provide your phone's model and OS version? I will be glad to investigate further.
By the way, I've moved your post to Android App board so we can keep our forums organized.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Greetings,
I eventually 'fixed' the issue by re-installing the app, which is still version 3.4.2, which is also still the latest version on the Play Store. If I were to venture a guess, I suspect the issue with the app syncing may be related to the amount of data it keeps stored on the phone. All that went away when I re-installed it. It is of course still available on the web, or the phone will re-collect it if I scroll back enough. It seems it may be useful to have the app either automatically - or user configurable - delete the local data storage after some point. At some point whenever you update the app the next time.

Actually @Charles_D the app keeps only the login ID and a few app settings. no tracker data is kept on the phone,
However one of the requested steps, found in the above link to help, to try is to clear the Fitbit apps cache.
Removing a tracker or doing a factory reset usually only adds more problems.
