Irregular Rhythm Notification Issue

ANSWERED
Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After the last update on the Android app, if I go to the irregular notification history it's blank and the app locks up so I have to force stop. This is the feature I need most and is why I pay for premium.

Also, to add:

I've force closed the app, restarted the phone, uninstalled, reinstalled, disconnected the Fitbit from the app, reconnected the Fitbit and the app to no avail.

Hello everyone.

Thanks for reaching out about the irregular rhythm feature on the Fitbit app. This situation has been resolved with the latest app update (v4.08). It is expected to be fully released by this week. Updates are launched in waves, so not every single customer receives it at the same time. In case the Playstore does not show you this version yet, I beg for your patience. You will soon be able to update the Fitbit app. Thanks in advance!

You are not alone. I've been having the exact same problem with Irregular Heartbeat notifications! And have done the same "fixes" you've tried. I connected in chat with a Fitbit tech who advised me that I have the 4.04version installed and need the 4.06 update. I was given a link...in google play store.  Turns out it's still the 4.04version that got installed again!!! I'm not sure HOW to get the proper version if this one was given to me by a service technician...  The irregular heartbeat notifications log is very important to me. I have never had a problem until this so called update...I'm very frustrated and disappointed...

Hi, @MikeS93 & @EffieLou222, welcome to the community. The Fitbit app rollout is staggered and will appear for you in due course. Do I understand correctly that you have both experienced Irregular HR events but your devices failed to respond?

You may find these articles & links helpful What is the Fitbit ECG app? Where there is a section at the end on Irregular HR, How do Fitbit Irregular Rhythm Notifications check for atrial fibrillation (AFib)? offers troubleshooting steps.

I know other community members are better informed than I am and they may well offer further advice.

If you are still stuck please post here again.

Cheers

I have the same problem, which is why I am here looking for help.

The issue is not how to use the app, but rather when clicking in the app to view irregular heartbeat records, the app locks up completely. It must then be closed and reopened. This has not always been the case. It stared misbehaving a couple of months ago.

This issue got fixed, at least in my case, with the latest update that in my case got available today. Also, I do not think the irregular rhythm notification is part of premium. At least I am not able to see it listed under the premium only features.

What apepars to be under premium is Daily Readiness score, Workout videos & Audio sessions, Sleep Score Details, Sleep Profile, Stress Management Score details, Mindfulness sessions, Wellness Report and Recipe and Meal hacks.

I have done several uninstall's and reinstall's and the problem persists.
I followed directions in an email from Fitbit support which also did
not work. I was in Beta and opted out before my latest reinstall and that
also did not help.

I am going to reboot my phone to see if that helps. If so I will let
you know.

@MGDave Thanks for the swift reply. Would you be so kind to confirm the app version you have installed? Thanks in advance. This situation was a general issue affecting several users. Apparently only the app update (v4.08) has fixed the issue. If you have this version already and the issue persists, please be so kind to send me screenshots of the app version and the irregular rhythm tile. Thanks in advance!

I don't know which release I have, but it was downloaded today from the
Google Play Store. I actually deleted and reinstalled two or three times. I
was originally in Beta, but withdrew from that today after my first failed
reinstall.

Sorry, but I can't figure out how to attach the screenshot. It is just a
blank white page. I'll try to send under separate cover.

@Map1055 Thanks for letting us know that it was resolved with the latest app update.

@MGDave Thanks for the swift reply. You could try wiping the app's cache data and try again. In order to attach a screenshot when you are writing your reply, tap on the "camera" symbol at the top of the textbox. A window will be shown and and there you can upload your picture. You can select one from your device's storage by tapping on "Upload". Thanks in advance!

Just deleted Fitbit app again and downloaded the version currently in
Google Play Store.

It continues to freeze when I click to see irregular rhythm notifications.

It is likely because you did not get the update yet (apparently not everyone is getting the update at the same time). You can check that by clicking on the profile picture on the main page of the Fitbit app (top right corner) and then then tap on Help. On the top of the page that opens you should see the app version you have installed. The latest version is 4.08. If you do not have that number, then just wait until the update is available to you.

Thanks for telling me how to find which app version I have! It is 4.06, so
I will wait for 4.08.

Thanks!

@SunsetRunner Thanks for your input. Much appreciated!

@MGDave Thanks for the reply and keeping us informed about your situation. Please note that updates are rolled out grdually and not everyone has received it yet. I just checked my app and I am still on 4.06 too. It is just a matter of time until we get the latest app update. I really appreciate your patience!
