Is Blood Glucose Tracker available in the app?

So I just read this great article about this new feature in Health & Wellness.  I have a Versa, followed the instructions to add this to my app and can locate it. Is this a regional only addition (like USA)???  Kind of frustrating seeing an awesome and helpful feature and can’t access it.

Thank you.  I figured it may be just a regional thing.  Maybe next time people write articles about app additions they should research it to see if it’s for everyone.

Best Answer

Hi. I am in the US. It is now March. I don't see the option there. Only add menstrual cycle or whatever. Presumably it's not rolled out to everyone yet? Also have Premium.

Best Answer

Exactly the same case for me, March, US, English, no blood glucose monitoring 😞

Best Answer

March 4th and I still don't have it.

Best Answer

EXACTLY. Not everyone is in the USA who reads these posts, such myopic thinking, "hey we have a new feature! Check it out" ... ONLY FOR AMERICANS! Just say, New Beta testing a feature for limited users, then no issues.

Why not just email users in regions where this Glucose monitoring is available and avoid all this confusion?! Google, do better

I just spent an hour online with the help chat and tried every to the glucose tile to show up for a charge 3.... finally they told me it’s not available for charge 3, only for newer devices. Hopefully this comment  saves someone else some time, since they could have told me that before wasting an hour of my time troubleshooting.

Same here, but there is a workaround

1. make sure your fitbit app is updated on your mobile

2. open fitbit.com on your mobile browser and login to the dashboard

3. tap the gear ⚙ icon and tap settings (your profile will come up)

4. tap settings again (the one on the left of the forward slash)

5. scroll down to manage data, tap there

6. scroll down to blood glucose, tap there

7. tap review your data

8. bingo. the hidden part of your fitbit app showing your data and you can edit the app by tapping the gear ⚙ icon there to send notifications etc.

... yes!

Thank you that definitely works to show the data. Looks like I’d have to manually enter the readings after taking my sugars with my meter tho so that’s a lot of extra work for something my meter already shows me. I think it syncs with certain meters, but not mine. I guess I was under the impression that the fitbit itself would read my levels like a kind of CGM to give me at least a ballpark idea in between readings. My mistake. Thanks for the reply tho! Much appreciated.

This is extremely helpful. Thank you. Although it sucks that it cannot appear on the dashboard. Presumably because they want you to buy a newer(?) Fitbit product. I have the Charge 3 and I guess for it to show up on the dashboard you need the Charge 4 or the latest tracker. Not sure. But it will show up in the wellness report if you use the workaround.

Mike2021 - It doesn't show up in my app either, and I have a Charge 4. I was wondering if it's a Premium option, but I don't know. I don't have Premium.

Thank you for the link to the article! I found it under Discover. (It sure would be nice if we could add things from the same place. (Some under "Today" and "Edit", others under "Discover".)

I was just scrolling through other comments, and saw in the linked article above that it's under "Discover". I was looking under the "Today" icon to add a tile. I found it under Discover, and now it shows on my Dashboard.

Best Answer

Make sure that your app is on 3.40.1

It is. I FINALLY found it. It's under "Discover", not under the tiles on
the home screen. Sure wish they were more clear about where to find things.
I literally found a help article that said to go to "Today" and add the
tile. That isn't where it is.

Thanks for the help.

I also finally found it. They hid it quite well.

I synced to my OneTouch Reveal but it's broken.
