Is Samsung galaxy A8 compatible with fitbit?

Hi..I have a Samsung galaxy A8 mobile and recently was gifted a fitbit charge HR..on downloading Fitbit app and trying to sync it, my phone doesn't access/pair with the fitbit HR via Bluetooth. Any one having similar problems?

Are they at least working on making it compatible? Use my fit bit everyday but definitely going to a different brand if they aren't even working on it. Love my fit bit but I need it connected to my phone with notifications

Still waiting please help. No use to my Fitbit charge 2.

Check your settings I had to fully update my A8 to oreo and after that my notifications started working like normal

Hi I received from samsumg a system update to oreo and it fixed the issue!

Would you mind sharing which phone you used.

 due for an upgrade on my contract, and I was keen on the Samsung galaxy A6+.

However, the compatibility list just has the A6 and the A8. Just need to be 100% sure that it will work before I purchase the phone 😞

But I'm really dissapointed to learn the A8 is not compatible with my charge2.

It was working in the beginning and  and I was very happy and satisfied with the device. 

Less then a year later and it's useless 😞 Shame for the money I spent on it.

Mine has been working ok for a year now. Sometimes it takes a while for the phone and the watch to synchronise but it works.
