Is someone else using my fitbit?

My fitbit was lost while at work tonight. I walked around quite a bit, attempting to sync it, with no results. At the end of my shift, I decided to try syncing in the car too see if it has fallen in the car. When I brought the app up on my phone (android), the steps/sync tile were visible on the dashboard, but after I attempted to sync, they suddenly went away. When I went to the devices tab, it gave me an option to add one, but no longer showed my Alta paired as my device.
Does this mean someone else has paired my fitbit too their acct?

Welcome to the forums @Tuppermal

These devices pair to the email address. Fitbit can see more on their end of things, so it's best if you contact customer support at this link - click

There is a phone number for the USA, an online chat option and web based email for those out of the area.

Keep us informed.

If someone found the tracker and links to her / his account, it's automatically unlinked from your account. The trackers aren't locked to a account, no confirmation is send to the email the tracker it's linked to if wanting to set up to another account..
