There was no process or instructions for setting up FitBit MobileTrack. As a result, I am unable to join challanges or accept challenge invites. The message that pops up is: "Step-tracker required. You need a step-tracker to join this challenge." This comes with the options to set up a device (with no MobileTrack option), decline invite, or cancel.
I have read the forums and done the following:
1. Went into settings and account to try and set up from there. No option for MobileTrack.
2. Checked compatibility. As far as I can tell, my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is compatible but I could be mistaken on this point.
3. I even tried to set up a new account with a different email just to see if I missed a button somewhere that would allow for MobileTrack. No luck so I didn't complete that account set up.
I would appreciate any assistance on this matter. My friend and I are trying to work together towards goals through the fitbit app, but if I can't join challenges then the app is useless to me.
I plan to buy a fitbit device in the future, I just can't afford to at the moment. So, for now, it would be nice to be able to use.the MobileTrack option.
Thank you.

It's nice to see you around my friend, welcome @SunsetRunner ! Well, actually you're not doing anything wrong, the thing is that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge doesn't include the MobileTrack feature as other compatible devices do.
For the latest list of devices that support the MobileTrack feature, visit http://www.fitbit.com/devices. Fitbit frequently adds support for new devices, so if yours isn't listed check back soon.

Hello,
Is there any reason why Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have not been included as compatible devices for the MobileTrack feature? They are 2 of the best selling phones from Samsung and they have fully functional sensors (I can track my steps with S Health and many other step tracking apps), so I find it very weird that fitbit didn't include them in their list.
Are there any other issues with their sensors that make them more difficult to integrate than other phones? I would be very glad If we could get a bit more detailed and technical explanation for this. I can also see that no Galaxy phone has MobileTrack available, so maybe is more a matter of an agreement between other mobile brands (like iPhone) and fitbit that Samsung has not agreeded to?
Thank you,
David.
