Fibit sync problem since Android app update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
As others have also had problems, I also chiming in about the Android app since the update. Now it doesn't sync and completely drains the battery of both the device and my Surge HR with constant attempt to sync. Went through the sync troubleshooting with no luck at all. When I tried to contact another way was told that I should get either another or newer Fitbit device. It worked fine until the app updated, so I really don't believe it something I need to address, rather you all need to either revert to the other previous version and/or fix the updated one!

I managed with my one by entering it as you would for a completely new device. It synced at the point in the process that it should and was fine from then. I used the same data as previously in email address and password. And my old records were there. Good luck

Pairing is rejected - both when I try it as a new device, when I restart
the Android, even did a delete of the app and reinstall.

I also find the latest update a step backwards. Seems like it takes forever to sync and then my phone locks and cancels the sync.

I've had to unstall the app and revert back to the old version.

It's not really a probem becuase i prefer the layout of the old dashboard anyway.

Hi there @muggleliason@Fedaykin409 and @Fedaykin409, let me give you a warm welcome to our Community. Also let me thank you for the great suggestions @Gillean.

I have updated to the latest version of the app on my phone which is not compatible by the way, at least doesn't show on the list of compatible devices. But so far I haven;t seen any issue at the moment to sync in my personal experience.

So I will start with the most basic which is to log out from the app and restart your Android devices. Once your phones or mobile device has completely loaded, log back in and try to sync again. Most of the times is just require a restart after the update.

If the issue persists, take a look at the following post for additional help. here you will find more recommendations and troubleshooting steps for syncing issues on Android too.

Hope this helps. I'll be around if you need more help.

I have got my fitbit and app to work by reinstalling the tracker with the app as if it was a new tracker. The problem with syncing then disappeared
