Has anyone had issues connecting a Fitbit Ionic to an LG V35 Thinq? My phone says that it finds the device but is refusing to connect. I will be very upset if they do not connect.

Welcome to the Forums @LaurenBasti.

This might be happening because the LG V35 on the supported devices list and thus we cannot guarantee its functionality.

There is a chance that it can work as long as it fulfill the minimum requirements of Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0 but it's not something we can ensure. Having said that, some users of phones that aren't on the list have had luck with these steps, so maybe you could give it a chance.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I am having the same issues with my LG V35, since it updated to the "pie" operating system in November

Then my tablet update to pie, and now it won't sync anymore either.  I'm so disgusted.

Spending $250 on the ionic...and it's not compatible! Isn't it Fitbit's responsibility to ensure all phones are?

My V30 was compatible for awhile...then stopped. I had an insurance claim on the phone and the V35 ThinQ was what I got.

V35 ThinQ user with slightly different experience.  Through the first 12 months, device paired, but never connected.  This had no impact on ability to sync, real-time HR, steps, distance etc.   Beginning in March (month 13), the device stopped syncing without rebooting both phone and device, and only stays connected for about 5 minutes before reverting back to "device not found" or locking in "sync" step.  The exception is that it will stay synced real-time if I have activity underway (i.e. Interval Training), but drops within 5 minutes of completion.

Lastly, beginning this week, the device stopped tracking time correctly, and is losing ~30 minutes overnight between sync's.

I'm guessing this is a combination of issues.  Connectivity likely due to baseline V35 compatibility, magnified by firmware / SW updates in March of 20.   I'm also guessing the time loss issue means the device is failing, but would be interested in your perspective.

Thoughts?

I think you are exactly right. My fitbit has been having problems for about a month and I think it is wrong that the software update they did RUINED my device from working on my phone. They should need to go in and fix this problem!

Fitbit needs the problem they created with their software update. Your device now has problems being compatible with my LG35 Thinq. Please fix it!
