I just got my LG V40 today. My Fitbit Charger 3 seems to be quite compatible with my new phone .

Hello @bluebloodschick.

Thanks for bringing this up. Congratulations on your new phone.

As you mentioned, the LG V40 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and sync your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to sync with other devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I would like to know if the Charge 3 continues to sync with the LG V40 ThinQ Android phone without any issues.

I have had continual problems with my Charge 3 since I received it in the fall of 2018. I was using it with a Google Pixel phone and had on and off sync issues. I now have the LG V40 ThinQ phone and I still have issues. To FITBIT's credit they did send me a replacement Charge 3 since I did all the suggested troubleshooting - forget the pair, de-install and re-install the app, reboot the Charge 3, reboot my phone etc., etc., etc. The new Charge 3 worked for about 3-4 weeks until today. Then it stopped syncing. I have been working on this for about 80 minutes tonight and feeling a bit frustrated to say the least. I have methodically gone through the various troubleshooting steps. And, I did finally get it to sync. But, this has happened so many times to me in the last six months, I am not sure what to expect tomorrow....

I have been a FitBit early adopter and supporter for MANY years. However, after spending MANY hours of wasted time troubleshooting and then LOSING my data, I am about ready to hand in the towel.

I do sync my phone with my car and my MS Surface 3 computer. Could this be the issue???

I am so disappointed and really don't want to give up on FitBit. I have their Aria Scale and have used them for years. But, at this point, I can't see carrying on.....   😞

Why aren't all phones that meet these requirements supported devices? The V40 isn't an OLD phone, it seems crazy that it isn't supported!
