Logging custom food nutritional info in the app

Hi there,

Quick question: when adding custom foods' nutritional values, does the app count both Carbs and Sugar as two separate figures (therefore showing more carbs than there are actually are) or does it count sugar as part the whole carb figure?

For example, the back of food packaging usually says something like: 'Carbohydrates: 12g, of which sugars: 6g'

So, if I was to add this into my app as Carbs: 12g and Sugar: 6g. Would the app recognise that the total carbs is 12g (with half of it being sugars) or will it just add it all up as being 18g of carbs overall (i.e. wrong)?

If it just adds it all together, then I can simply subtract the sugar figure from the carb figure going forward, but I'd like to know one way or the other.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forums @Phil.Wilson93.

Thanks for posting your question.

In this case the data should be added as you entered it, so if you log 12g carbs and 6g suger they will show just like that, not added together.

I hope this clarifies the situation. Let me know if there are any other questions on the matter.
