Charge 3 pairing screen crashing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

hi, I just received a new Fitbit charge 3 as an upgrade from a charge HR. my charge HR had no problem pairing with my Oppo AX5, but my new Fitbit will not pair. I have tried everything - factory reset, restarting phone, app, Bluetooth, in every conceivable order.

when I go to pair the devices, my phone locates the charge 3. the charge 3 then displays the 4-digit number, while my phone shows a blank blue screen. then the Fitbit shows an X icon in a moving circle, and my phone goes back to the Fitbit app home screen, with no trace of my Fitbit.

Welcome to the Forums @bunii.

Thanks for sharing all of the steps that you have tried and explaining the situation.

This seems to be happening because the Oppo AX5 is not part of the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone.

As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the set up.

If none of the above works, you could try to use a computer or another mobile device to try and pair your Fitbit to your account. Click here to get instructions on how to set up with other devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
