After recent upgrade of Android app (ver 2.66) option to login with Google have disappeared. Can't login into my app anymore. I have tried removing and reinstalling app - still no way to login into my account. What have happened?

Hi there @strvt, good to see you here in the Fitbit Community in this occasion. The option to log with your Google account is not available from the Fitbit app, however this change was implemented before the latest update.
However I'm wondering if is giving you an error? Have you tried to log in using your google credentials? Perhaps resetting your password will help you to log back in.
As an alternative your Fitbit web-Dashboard still has options to,log in with your Google account or Facebook. Please visit: https://www.fitbit.com/login
See you around and hope this helps.

We are entering the correct login details, we have to know them correctly to log in to this website.
It is very frustrating not being able to use my app as I have no other way of syncing my watch. There is something wrong with the app.

If I click the forgotten password link it says 'network operation failed, no network connection'.
I do have a network connect as all other apps and my browsers work perfectly (also using it to send this message) and I am definitely entering the correct login details and password (also using it to send this message).
Please fix the app as my watch is useless at the moment.

Hello @Mrs_Ashley and @Irene87, good to see you both in the Fitbit Community! My apologies for the late response.
If the issue persists and you are seeing an error to log in to your account, try to switch between WiFi and mobile data. If you are using WiFi, turn it off and try to log in with your mobile internet. I have seen several users that were able to log in after doing this workaround.
See you later and stick around if you have other questions.

This is an old post, but it's happened to me now (June 3, 2019). I haven't had to log in to the app in several weeks, but now I'm getting prompted for a username/password, but I don't have one for fitbit. I registered using my Google/Gmail account via OAuth and that works fine on the website, but the android app no longer seems to have that option. Please advise/confirm that this is no longer a supported feature. I'd definitely prefer not to have to create and manage another username/password just for this site/service.

Turns out my account got hacked, maybe yours did too. On the website use Google OAuth to login like you mentioned. Then in the top right corner click on the gear icon and select 'settings'. You'll see a field for 'Email Address'. If this field does not indicate YOUR email address, your account may have been taken over. You should contact Fitbit Support to get help with regaining access.
It turns out that I received an email when the hacker changed my email address and I didn't see it in time (within 72 hours) to address it. Fitbit doesn't have a way to reset your password other than sending an email to the hacker's email address so you'll need to call Fitbit Support. You won't be able to login to the native mobile apps until you've regained control of your account and you shouldn't because the hacker may have access to your GPS location and sleep schedule.

Is there a customer rep who can really understand our issue and answer instead of copy and pasting some text from his manual book? I am not able to login from my Android app any more as I dont seen an option to log in using google or login using facebook option anymore.

This has also just happened to me (Dec 12, 2021). Trying to set up the Fitbit app on my Samsung tablet and no option to log in using Google. Very frustrating. I tried entering my Google email address and password but it said not valid. When logging into the Fitbit dashboard on my PC I have the option to sign in with Google and everything is fine. Why are the login processes different and how is one supposed to log in to an already established account if the login credentials are not recognized?

Yeah, this has happened to me too. Just purchased and got the premium for a year on the account using my google account. But I can't login to the account on my phone once the device arrived. I have tried using the google email and password, doesn't work. Tried creating a new account using the google email, says the account already exists!
So now the thing is bloody useless to me

Ok, I found the workaround for this for anyone in future. Even though you used Google login, it creates an account connected to your email.
So you can just click 'forgot password' on the login screen and create a new password, then you can use this password to login on the app!
Hope that helps
