Why is there no option to manually add distance on activity. When I run on the treadmill I want to be able to log the exact distance that shows on the tradmill.

@CalBear Welcome to our community! The distance option for the Treadmill activity does show when logging it (refer to the attached image).

Let me know how it goes!

This lets you add a new activity. But does anyone know how to edit a treadmill run? I don't want to lose the steps from that treadmill run by deleting the exercise and then manually adding one. For example. I walked two miles and stopped. Ionic said I walked 1.6 miles. I walked one mile and stopped. Ionic said I walked 0.8 miles. I walked another mile and fitbit again hit me up for 80% of the distance I actually covered on the treadmill. Any ideas on editing this and not losing the heart rate and steps accurately recorded?

It sounds like you might want to adjust your stride length on Fitbit.  It might not change treadmill walks and runs you've already done but should help for future walks and runs.

How does my Fitbit device calculate distance?

How do I measure and adjust my stride length?

Hypothetically, could I switch my stride before and after workouts? I assume Fitbit's calculation is correct for my day to day walking around at work and grocery shopping. But I suppose my stride on a treadmill is larger and quicker. I will try it out and report back. Maybe I can use Fitbit's numbers during the day, but multiply their number by 25% to make up for what clearly was three consecutive treadmill walks tonight 20% below actual distance. Thanks for your help!
