Map not shown on older trainings

Hello,

I am new here - and I have an issue. I cycle to work everyday and record the training with my Pixel Watch 3. Everything works as expected, the training is shown in the trainings tile and page - including the map of the route I chose.

My issue is now, that this map is not displayed for trainings that are older than 2 weeks - it just disappears as it was there before. This is a dealbreaker for me as I like to see where I was a year ago, for example.

Is this by design? If yes, I will change ecosystem because this is not acceptable for me. Or am I missing something?

Probably an issue, if I'm seeing what you are seeing. 

I see the outline of where the map should be, but the map is not displayed. 

Now if you are seeing something else, then i don't know.
