Message notifications always get duplicated on Blaze

Whenever I receive messages on my phone, my Blaze seends me anywhere between 1 and 4 notifications, as if I got duplicated messages on my phone. (I have a Samsung Galaxy S5.) A couple months ago when I first enabled notifications on my Blaze, I would only receive one notification per message. Lately it has been getting progressively worse, where each message notifies the Blaze anywhere from 3 to 4 times on a consistent basis. It doesn't matter whether I disable and then reenable notifications, or reset the Blaze, it sends me mass notifications for each text I get. I really like receiving the notifications on my Blaze, but it would be nice to only receive one notification per text. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there an easy way to fix it or is is just an issue caused by my phone? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Droid Turbo and just got my blaze. All my text messages are triplicated on the watch, but they only appear on the phone once. Regular notifications don't duplicate. I am using the Message+ app for texts and wondering if the combo is with Android version and the Message plus app. My phone, the fit bit app, the firmware and message plus app are all up to date. I hope they get this fixed soon.

@MrsProfitt77 you are not alone. Do you have marshmallow as your android version? Mine started acting up after updating to marshmallow (it was fine with the previous version of android). In my opinion the ways to fix this are all workarounds (use a different default messaging app, downgrade current version of android, etc.) and fitbit should figure out a way to fix this, since it affects any android user that uses the message+ app with marshmallow, the current android version.

For me, it is very annoying that my wrist vibrates 5-ish times every time i get a text message. And if it is a long text message that delivers 2 messages my wrist vibrates like 8 times. I get it fitbit, i got a message. And then it'll vibrate again every time i look at my phone and then turn the screen off without reading the notification. Then scrolling through all of the duplicate messages on the fitbit to erase all of the messages is a pain! If I get 5 text messages I have to scroll through 15 to 30 notifications on the fitbit blaze to erase all of them. It is highly annoying.

Just a short follow-up. Fitbit just sent out a new update for Android that mostly fixed the issue. When I receive a text message I no longer receive duplicate text messages, so updating the app should give the same results to people in my situation who are using Message+ on Marshmallow.

However, I did notice that when my wife sent me a text with a list of things to buy at the grocery store, I received a notification for each item on the list. Since the list was a bit lengthy, I had a bunch of notifications pop up on my Blaze. (Each item was listed on a separate line.) But that is the only case that I have found that doesn't work as expected, where before every message was getting duplicated multiple times. Hopefully more bugs will be worked out in future app releases.

Just got the update and I'm still getting duplicate messages. No lists but 3 of the same message. Only change was it only vibrated once rather than each time the duplicate message came in. Fitbit still has some work to do. I have yet to see if the syncing is better. I have never been able to use the music controls because it is always trying to connect.
