Whenever I go onto the app to see messages people send me, nothing shows. Not even past messages. The notification is there but nothing shows up. Please see link:

I appreciate the information that details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device you're currently using? Also, when was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then?
