I use the workout tracker on the fitbit app on my android phone for walking. For years, I never had any issues. It was usually really accurate. But now when I do a 2.2 or 3.4 mile walk, the app only shows 1.1 miles or less and on the map when it shows my route, that is way off as well. Is this an issue you are working on? I uninstalled the app from my phone and rebooted my phone, then reinstalled the app. I also removed my device from the app and re-added it. I turn the wifi off so it only uses my mobile data and the problem is still not fixed. I have a fitbit ionic by the way. Any suggestions?

Hello @timothyfosseen are you using the fitbit app on the phone to record you walk? Doing so will ignore any data from your ionic dieting the walk.
I'm confused because the fitbit app does not have a workout recording mode, only has Walk, Run, and Hike.
Why not use your ionic to record your walks?

I used to have fitbits that required any gps tracking through the phone and I got in the habit of using the app on my phone using walk.
