Missing Steps While Using Two Trackers

ANSWERED

I have a Flex tracker and recently started to use a Charge 2. I added the two trackers to my account and I use my flex while exercising and charge 2 the rest of the time. I think the steps on my flex are not being counted on the app. Looking at the daily steps graphic for today while exercising my steps at the time I exercised are not there. What am I missing? Any idea?

Welcome to the Forums @Vivi2018.

Let me help you out with using two different devices.

My recommendation in this case would be to sync each Fitbit every time to put it on and every time you remove it, that way you can be sure that no information will be overwritten between the devices.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Using 2 devices and it never wants to sync with the flex2 always keeps going to the charger 2! I use the flex for swimming and i have to keep trying to sync. I turn the sync off on the charger 2 and turn the flex on and have turned the blueBluet on and off so frustrated why not just have a switch button! Any ideas? ??

Thanks

Hello @Vivi2018. Welcome to the Forums @Wags55.

@Vivi2018 Please do and keep us updated on how it goes.

@Wags55 Thanks for trying all of that before posting in here.

In this case I'd like to ask some questions:

  • Did you set up notifications with the Charge 2?
  • Is the 'Always Connected' option is turned on with the Charge 2? You can find this feature by going into the settings by tapping on the top-right corner and then going into the Charge 2 settings.

Look forward to your reply.

no it is not always on I turn it off so I can have it read the other fitbit. I don't have a problem with it reading the charge 2 its having read the other one. I will go to that one and have it on always and keep syncing it and I turn Bluetooth on and off as well. I just wish there was a switch to say use this one.

Let me know

Hello @Wags55.

Thanks for reaching back with that answer.

Do you have notifications enabled with either of the Fitbits? If so, which one? I'd recommend that you try turning notifications off before trying to sync, that should help as it is possible that your phone bonded with the device that has notifications and that's why it won't sync with the other Fitbit. Turning them off should fix that situation.

Look forward to your reply.

Yes, It takes time to get both trackers to sync but it works. In my case I had to make sure that the trackers were not together when syncing.

I guess we have to wait for that magical switch to appear.

Hey @Wags55 and @Vivi2018.

Thanks for your feedback. We truly appreciate it.

At this moment we do not have anything to announce on the matter but please know that we take comments like this seriously.

While nowhere close to a solution, for the time being please continue doing whatever is working for you or try to only use one Fitbit device to make sure that as much of your data is accurate.

Let me know if there is anything that I can help you with
