My wife's Inspire 3 device didn't display the 'Today' Heart Rate curve in the morning about 50% of the time, but her heart rate data always showed up on the Fitbit Online Dashboard and there were never any breaks in the curve.
My Inspire 3 device always displayed the Today Heart Rate curve every morning for more than two months, so I gave my device to her to use, assuming that her device was defective.
I was surprised to see that my device was behaving in exactly the same way when my wife wore it; no Today Heart Rate curve displayed about 50% of the time.
What would cause the Today Heart Rate curve to not be displayed on the app, even though the heart rate measurements looked totally normal on the Fitbit Online Dashboard?

Make Fitbit Great Again, Google!
It's really hard to justify paying the Premium subscription cost every year, while not getting the premium features that are advertised as being included in the Premium membership package.

I just click on any partially displayed day's heart graphs, and they display in full.

That's the problem. There is no 'Today' HR curve at all with HR data from 12AM to when she syncs in the morning, as it should be, so there is nothing to click on, but the curve is on the dashboard.
Just the HR curves from the previous days are being displayed on the app. Then, the HR data curve for that day doesn't show up on the next day either, so it is lost forever on the app, but all those missing app data are on the Fitbit Online Dashboard.

The fact that the display is correct on the fitbit.com dashboard to me shows there is nothing wrong with the fitbit device - it is gathering and transmitting the data correctly. Rather I would consider it a phone display problem, not necessarily blaming the phone itself. But there seem to be many phone data display problems cropping up recently that can be verified that the data is actually stored correctly in the fitbit database by looking at the fitbit.com dashboard. A prime example of that is many, many recent complaints of users seeing the exact same number of daily steps every day on their phone app. I have not experienced this so cannot test, but I think it is "just" a phone display problem and looking on fitbit.com dashboard would verify data is actually correct in database. I'm guessing that in all the changes the Google developers are adding, they are messing up some basic part of phone redisplay function.

Thank you for the detailed response.
In your experience, is there anything that I can try on my wife's Samsung S10 that may help to confirm your theory?

You said don't see the curve in the morning. Is it there later in the day?

No, the 'Today' curve for today (Saturday) will be missing on the app all day, so we will have to go to the dashboard to view the Heart Rate curve.
Tomorrow (Sunday), the HR curve for Saturday will be missing on the app, and the Today curve for Sunday may or may not be displayed on the app.

Update; after syncing this morning (Sunday), the HR curve for yesterday (Saturday) is missing on the app and the 'Today' HR curve for today (Sunday) is missing on the app also, but both of those HR curves are showing up on the Fitbit Online Dashboard.
It would be great if someone from Google or a previous Fitbit employee could tell me why this is happening and what can be done to resolve the issue, particularly if Google is planning to eliminate the Fitbit Online Dashboard going forward.
Without the dashboard data to fall back on, my wife wouldn't get any HR history data at all about 50% of the time, which is useless.
I don't know if there is a correlation or not, but my wife has only gotten basic sleep data for the last three days as well (no sleep stage charts), which is also useless.

Update:
Looking forward to receiving a device firmware and/or app software update that resolves this severe product performance issue and provides those data that are supposed to be included with her paid Premium subscription.
I know that many people have reported complaints about not getting detailed sleep results, but does anyone else have missing HR curves as well?

I don't understand how today's HR curve on phone app can have a break in it, but also be completely missing.

Sorry for the confusion, @JohnnyRow; that was a cut/paste error, which I just corrected.
My wife got the HR curve this morning on the app, but it had a break in it, so I tightened her band one notch as an attempt to remedy that. However, my wife then noticed that there were no breaks in the Today curve on the dashboard. Very strange.

Update:
As you can see from these incredibly poor test results over the last several days with my wife wearing an Inspire 3 device that worked reliably for me when I wore it for more than two months, the Inspire 3 devices seem to perform better for some people than they do for other people, which is totally unacceptable from a product performance perspective.
Can someone from Google please let me know if anything is being done to help resolve this product performance issue?

I had hopes that the updated V4.18.1 app SW release would resolve these Inspire 3 product performance issues but, unfortunately, my wife still doesn't get detailed sleep stage charts every single night, and the Heart Rate curves are still missing from the app for more than 50% of the days as well.
My wife's Premium membership payment due date is 16-June and her Inspire 3 device is performing so poorly that it's going to be hard to justify paying it, because this is certainly not 'premium' performance.
When will this product performance issue finally be addressed and resolved, because this is unacceptable.

Deprecating the dashboard on 8-July is just pouring salt into the wound.
My wife is still missing the Heart Rate curves on the app almost every day, so she is forced to go to the dashboard to view her heart rate history for those days.
With no dashboard to fall back on for missing data in the app after 8-Jul, my wife's Inspire 3 device will become totally unusable, so she'll have no choice but to return it as inoperative under the Factory 1-year warranty and then cancel her contract completely.

@Bill_209 I don't know if this was asked or not. Can you post a screenshot that shows the missing graphs? Also, there is a heart rate graph in the details when you tap on the active zone minute icon. Does her app have the heart rate graph there? This sounds like an app issue, not a device issue.
I also want to share some insight about getting sleep scores, breathing rate, and HRV. A very regular heart rate is required to get these metrics. It's a heart physiology thing. Anyone who experiences lots of extra beats or palpitations can get no sleep score, BR, or HRV, too. Also, do you use the Irregular Rhythm Notifications? When my husband first developed atrial fibrillation, he was in A fib some of the time, but not all of the time. He was getting proper care -- we could tell when he was in A fib because those were the nights that he got no sleep score, BR, or HRV.

I've tried embedding screenshots taken with my wife's Samsung S10 a couple of times, but I get error messages related to the content not being allowed.
Basically, when she wakes up in the morning, the 'Today' HR curve with data from 12 AM onwards is missing on the app more than 50% of the time and it remains missing for the rest of the day. Then, the following morning, the 'Today' HR curve for that day may or not be there and the HR curve from the previous day remains missing.
All the missing HR curves on the app are always on the dashboard, however, so it does sppear to be an app issue.
My wife does have a few HR events below 50 bpm while sleeping each week, but her HR typically ranges between 60 - 100 bpm each day.
It's really too bad that Google does not return HRV and Breathing Rate heart metrics by design if the sleep stages were unable to be determined, because seeing those heart metrics on a daily basis by design would provide very useful data to track.

@LZeeW, to follow up on your question regarding the HR curves associated with the Zone Min tile, I just took a look at some previous days where my wife was missing the HR curves in the Heart tile and they were, in fact, there in the Zone Min tile, so great observation.
She actually got a Today HR curve today in the Heart tile, so I'll check to see if the HR curve is present in the Zone Min tile the next time that there is a missing Today HR curve in the Heart tile.

@LZeeW , I just confirmed that my wife is missing the Today HR curve in the Heart tile this morning, but the HR curve for today is being displayed in the Zone Min tile, as you suspected, so this is clearly a bug in the app SW.
Looking forward to receiving an app SW update soon that resolves this issue; hopefully before the dashboard gets deprecated on 8-July.

Hello @Bill_209
Although I haven't seen a Moderator post announcing this yet (as of 16 Jun 2024), I've seen users report that their Fitbit app updated to ver 4.19. Hopefully, that update will fix the issue that your wife is experiencing.
Fitbit app updates tend to rollout in waves. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before we have the latest update.
