Mobile Track + Pixel Watch Step Count

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

If I'm wearing my Google Pixel Watch and have my phone with Mobile Track enabled, does it double the count of steps? I can't wear my watch at work (I work in an industrial environment) but I do want to track the miles I often walk at work. Outside of work, I usually wear both.

Any thoughts or feedback on this?

@christophermx4 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

If you use both during the same time frame, the Pixel Watch and MobileTrack, what can happen is that one of the data gets ovewritten.
This means, that if you are using the watch and the feature together, after syncing , the data from the watch will overwrite the one from the phone, or viceversa. This could lead  to confusions, if eg. you see 1000k steps on the watch and after syncing you only see 800.

My advice, would be either, to unpair MobileTrack from account, whenever you are using the Pixel Watch, and set it up , when you need it.

Or to get a Fitbit that can be worn on a Clip (eg. Inspire 2, Inspire 3) to be worn during the time that you cannot use the watch.

How do I unpair Mobile Track? I have a Pixel 6 with the latest Android and, obviously, a Pixel Watch.  Thanks

Hi @Smiling-Jack - to remove MobileTrack, in the Fitbit App click profile photo, MobileTrack and select the dustbin in the top right corner.

It may be wise to restart the watch and logout of the Fitbit App and restart the phone, then sync the watch, to make sure the change is completely incorporated.

I don't understand - where is the "Profile Photo" in the Fitbit App?
When I open the App it says fitbit across the top, with a little "in box" in the upper left, and then all of my current stats today below.

On the other hand Android shows MobileTrack notification which says "Fitbit pedometer is running". If I click on that I get a screen that is titled "Notification required for phone-based step features" and then the options OKAY and UNPAIR on the bottom of the screen. Should I unpair - or will that disconnect the connect between the watch and the phone?

@Smiling-Jack - click the little box in top left hand corner (same level as "Fitbit").

Then on the MobileTrack image near your watch photo.
