Fitbit app keeps failing at Pairing and Linking [SOLVED]

Problem has been solved with my Inspire 2 not syncing for months.

I called Fitbit. Here are the steps they took me through that finally worked for me:

1. Swipe up to settings
2. Select and proceed with Clear user Data
3. In app, click on pic in upper left of Today
4. Select Set Up Device
5. Follow the steps and give it all permissions

I've been trying to sync my Inspire 2 watch with the Fitbit app for months. I've done all the troubleshooting fixes listed in this forum.

I've reset the watch, deleted and reinstalled the app, made sure all permissions are on. It sees the watch, but hasn't synced since March.

Right now, I'm watching the circle go round and round for minutes.

I've also connected the watch just via bluetooth and there's no problem when I do that. I've had it forget the connection and started over with the Fitbit app.

It's really frustrating not to be able to see my steps over time. 😞

Thanks. Hope someone has a fix for this.

Thanks,

Susan

Hi @Lyonsden10 - try starting again with the following steps.

  • Remove your Inspire 2 from Bluetooth on all devices, not just your phone, if there are more devices
  • logout of the Fitbit App, swipe off the active window, in Android phone, clear the Fitbit App storage cache and force stop it
  • restart the watch and phone
  • login to the Fitbit App and wait for any pair, link or Fixit prompts and sync
  • If you don't get them click the profile photo
  • click + Set up a Device and replace

You might have better luck.
