I can't seem to find the mobile track option in add new devices on the Fitbit app. This morning, annoyingly, I forgot my fitbit and went on a 30 minute walk (1/3 of my daily goal), I use the fitbit app to track my steps weekly. I'd love to transfer the steps from my phone to the fitbit app for times when I forget my fitbit.
It would be a shame if this is not possible as I would have to re-think using the Fitbit app as my weekly counter and therefore rethink how useful the fitbit is to me.

@vMorty A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thank you for getting in touch about this, I'll be happy to clarify your inquiry.
MobileTrack is depends on a specific type of hardware and if the phone doesn't have the required hardware, MobileTrack won't be an option on the available devices to set up on the app.
Since you use your phone to track activities, you could use MobileRun to track runs, walks or hikes. Learn more about it by checking this article: How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?
Last but not least, if you forget your Fitbit at home you could manually log the activity on your Dashboard and have a summary of the activity done.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
