Mobile track not tracking steps

I just updated my app to Google & ever since, I'm getting a message saying the Mobile tracker isn't tracking my steps  but it is!

To correct this I've reloaded both my phone (Samsung S21 Ultra) & my Versa 3. No luck.

How do I put my account back away from Google???

I am also receiving this message this morning after being moved to Version 4.0.1 but I did NOT move my account to Google (yet).  I don't know what the benefit is to move it to Google.

It is tracking my steps, but the message is annoying and won't go away.

I'm also getting this message. I have not transferred to Google. The Fitbit app has updated, however I was receiving this message prior to this update. I have found nothing of any help online. I have tried unpairing, optimising, closing the app, but no luck. Interested to see if this is a bug and/or if anyone knows of a way to get rid of this annoying message!

I'm having the same issue, it's tracking my steps just fine but I keep repeatedly getting the message and you can't get rid of it!

I had the warning appear as well. The screen told me to set my battery optimization to unrestricted, but nothing I did changed it.

I haven't updated to Google (as far as I know) but the app has done an automatic update this morning, everything looks different and I'm getting this annoying message too. I can clear it if I swipe down and 'clear all notifications' but it comes back straight away. I've never enabled Mobiletrack and not even sure what it is. I hope someone has a solution to this.

My app updated yesterday and I am having the same issue with the notification. I have checked my battery settings as suggested by the notification but it doesn't change anything. A few times I have gotten the notification to go away by forcing the app to stop but after 10min the notification comes back. My watch and app are both tracking my steps so that is great but having the notification constantly there is quite annoying.

If you want to disable "Mobile reack": From Today screen Tap the icon in the upper left corner - You are redirected to "Connected to Fitbit" - Below your tracker - tap your phone - "Disconnect".

@LokeAa thank you for the suggestion,  I had already done this after further research this afternoon. Unfortunately I'm still getting the notification even though I have no phone 'paired'.  In fact now it is worse because previously I could 'clear' it, at least for 10 minutes or so, now I can't get rid of it at all!

Go to Permissions for Fitbit (Tap and hold the Fitbit Icon and tap the i (information). The permission called "Physical Activity" is Mobile Tracker Deny access.

@LokeAa many thanks, this has finally fixed it! 🙂

I'm going to assume this was a bug which has now been fixed, as this issue was resolved (for me, at least) a few days ago with no additional inputs from me. Annoying as they are, I guess these things happen from time to time.

Had this issue for a few weeks now - definitely a bug and certainly since the "Google" update... my Fitbit and the app itself are still working fine, which sort of makes it even more annoying!

As soon as its fixed or anyone hears of anything, please post back 😉

if you go to settings, and then go to permissions. Once there remove the physical activity permissions and then go back to the fitbit app. It will then allow you to reconnect again and sync with the phone again. Hope this helps all.
