MobileRun missing data after pausing - Android 2.43+

Fitbit Update: 9/26/17

Hello, everyone! I wanted to make it known that I haven't forgotten about this issue with MobileRun. Our team is aware of this ongoing problem, however, I don't have a timeline for when there will be a fix available. I understand many of you are frustrated with this feature, and I hope to give you all more information soon. Thanks for your continued patience!

Just to be clear, this thread is for the MobileRun issue for when you initiate a Run/Walk, if you 'Pause' your activity and then 'Resume' after you finish, you will not see your map or some of your exercise data. Alternatively, this does not happen if you 'Pause' and 'Finish' your Run/Walk right away.

Fitbit Update: 7/20/17

Thanks everyone for providing the information requested about this MobileRun issue. It appears since the Android app version 2.43, users who initiate a MobileRun on their devices and later pause it at some point will not have all the data saved when syncing afterward. This data can include the map and distance data.

I really appreciate your cooperation and patience while our team works towards a resolution. I know many of you have been active on this thread and I want to make sure you know all your input has been very helpful in determining the factors. I will continue to update this thread when there is more information available. Thanks again for your help!

Thanks so much.
I've had no difficulty for two years!
Nothing's changed with my phone.
I'm Nexus 6, Android 7.
Currently on app 2.42 but have been on latest.
Makes no difference.
Don't store more than last 25 emails on phone.
Following your comments I did clear out some rubbish and old photos. Space not an issue.
Cleared cache, cleared data.
Uninstalled, installed, switched phone off and on....
No settings on phone changed but of course location services on and high accuracy.
How that helps you help me!
Twitter support rolled out the old chestnut... Known problem, we're working on it, be patient!

Thanks. Does Strava sync with fitbit at all...or is it just a GPS tracker on phone.
I will try it though, thanks

@PiLesleyAs a test you could use MapMyRun App and see if that keeps the maps. If you haven't used MapMyRun before after you have done a  workout, you tap the 3 bars menu and open the Workout item.

I come from an engineering/computing background and must have my comparisons before I highlight a problem.  I have too many Fitbit Support queries that it are being looked at etc... Just like our politicians in Australia.

But as they say we are working/looking into it and many of us don't have that problem..

@PiLesleyNearly morning tea for you.   Now 6-30pm here and going to be an 8oC Autumn night.. Never get snow in Melbourne. But, it's interesting watching how the extra blankets push my RHR up a few notches......

Wait to here...

Unfortunately as far as I'm aware fitbit will sync maps with Strava but Strava does not sync maps with fitbit (If that makes sense). There may be a way round this however I'm not aware of how one would do this... I would love it if it was possible as Strava is a fantastic app.You may be able to export the map data from the Strava website and manually add it to fitbit.... if anyone knows how to do that please let me know

@PiLesley  I can't find anything, even there are bugs in Android 7.1.1 from the Android forums and some back loading to V7.0

I'm trying Strava... But your issues are possibly pointing to a phone issue.. and.. from your earlier posts it was sudden...

This problem should be fixed in the latest fitbit app update.

All that confirms is that mobile run is not fixed.
Everyone, including me, detailing phone/os combos not working on the update mentioned.
No indication of when we can expect another attempt at fix.
Personally I have additional issue now of Google maps stopped loading throughout fitbit app.
So app issues compound

Do you have any way to load your profile onto another phone just to see if Google maps are showing on other phones? I know you said it was working ok before but it may be worth checking it's not an OS/App issue
