MobileTrack doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy A8

I am going on holiday next week and will be doing lots of steps! Unfortunately, my Fitbit died on Sunday night. I am awaiting a replacement (ordered Monday through Customer Services), but it is touch-and-go on whether it will arrive in time, so I was looking into a steps app which would sync with my Fitbit app and continue tracking my steps.

I have looked at how to do so, but there is no "no Fitbit yet?" option on the app. I have also checked compatibility and my phone is listed as being able to use MobileTrack.

Can anyone advise on what to do or suggest another app that can track my steps whilst I await my replacement Charge 3?

thanks

Hi @Jessihatt. It's nice to have you on board!

I'm glad to hear that you'll receive a replacement Charge 3. I understand how important is to track your steps while waiting for our order and thanks for checking the compatibility with your Samsung Galaxy A8 phone. Please give a try to the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Remove the Charge 3 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version.
  3. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  4. Go back one screen, tap on force stop and reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap on the profile's icon > setup a new device.
  6. On the list of devices tap on "Mobile Track - Try the basics" and follow the onscreen instructions.

Let me know how it goes.

All details same here,  followed all the steps listed to the letter. MobileTrack still not listed.  This was an important tool for me after a heart attack and I am going to lose years of data. It's so frustrating,  after getting what is a NEW phone.  Any other tips please?

Thanks Simon
