I have a MotoG4 and need it to be compatible with the Fitbit - I no longer use my Fitbit for anything other than a watch!! It was great using it with my older Moto phone!

Moto G4 plus. messaging and notifications do not work. (oddly i have seen one or two notifications, but only after rebooting and re-pairing everything. I saw notification, then stopped. Hasnt worked since even if reboot and pair)  Audio control never works. syncing is spotty. I think its killing the battery too not syncing correctly.l

It's not officially a support device, of course it may work in a limited capacity. You'll have to try and let us know.

I am currently using a Moto G4. I feel your pain. It seems to sync once each day, usually in the morning. I was told by fitbit support (via email) to try clearing the cache before trying to sync it. If that did not work, clear the cache then restart the device. As a last resort, I was told to clear the cache then, uninstall the app, then re-install. I went a few days without my Blaze and Surge sync'ing with the app. Especially frustrating if you are doing a daily /weekly challenge with friends/family as your daily info updates the next day.

Hi there, I'm using a G4 Plus running android 7.0.  All seems to be running fine for me, i just make sure that the app has the all day sync, always connected and the notification tray enabled.  Other than enabling those options i have no problems (touch wood 🤡)

I have a Moto G4 running Android 7.0 and FitBit version 2.47. I bought a Charge 2 about a week ago and this is my first FitBit. I'm not impressed at all. The watch itself seems good (except I can't believe and hate that it's not waterproof), but the app is awful, rendering the watch almost useless. Seems like there's a lot of good data being recorded, but what good is it with an app that rarely syncs properly, constantly crashes, and takes FOREVER to load if it does at all?! I'm think I'm going to chalk it up as a loss and switch back to my old tracker, a Polar A300. I didn't love that one either, but at least it was fairly functional, which is more than I can say for this thing so far.

I am having the same issue. Call and text messaging notification do not work. I have the Moto G4 Play and the fitbit HR and the Notification screen on the app is totally blank. Its frustrating. I will probably buy an Android watch next. I will be skipping on the Fitbit

I found a solution for this long ago, but I completely forgot to share it with y'all until I just got an email about this thread.... Anyway, my G4 was set to store apps on my SD card, not the phone's internal memory. After I moved the Fitbit app to the internal memory instead, the app works fabulously. Also, I use a third party app called Fit Notifications. Without it, you will get call and text notifications, but I don't believe notifications work for any other app, like email or Facebook. These 2 changes made a world of difference and I've gone from hating to loving my Fitbit. Hope this helps!!

I have been trying to use the Fit notification app. but it looks like it not connecting to my fitbit. I have the Fitbit app set to internal memory.

Not being very technologically savvy, I need to ask how you got the app to save to the internal memory, because I think most of the apps I've downloaded are saved to my SD card on my Moto G4. Can you please help me with that?  It would be much appreciated.

I have given my Fitbit away. It would not link to my Moto phone and Fitbit
confirmed it is no longer compatible. The only option was to use it with
the computer. Not what I bought it for.

Thank you for your response.  I guess I'll have to use it with my computer. I won't get a new phone until we go to 5G.
