Moto e5 running Android 8.0.0 no background sync

 My fitbit versa won't sync anymore. I've tried everything: reconnecting my versa, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and also restarting my phone. Nothing worked, or was only a short term fix. Plz help

Unfortunately syncing problem do happen from time to time and it seems impossible to avoid them altogether. 

 

The usual things to try when you get syncing issues are:

 

Is your E5 the 2014 model? I ask as that's the only one on the list of supported devices at www.fitbit.com/devices
