Moving from Windows to Android and Lost my steps on Dashboard

Hi there.

I have had Fitbit as a mobile tracker for almost a year now and yesterday I changed phones. However, when I installed Fitbit in the new phone, Android, the step tile got lost and I cannot find a way to add it in again. I have read the posts here, and I do not have a gray letters on my new dashboard with hidden tiles. It also says when I check my Fitbit profile online that there are no devices activated.

I really would like to have the step tile back as it is one of the biggest motivator aspect 🙂

Thank you in advance

Hi @DisaDragon

Feel free to reconnect the tracker to the account:

Read the Fitbit Help Article (click / tap to open the page) for more information.

When I installed it I had to log in (not join Fitbit) as I already had an account. So I could not reconnect it to my account. The link you sent me did explain how I got it from google store but not why there is no steps 😞

From the article:

If you already have a Fitbit account and want to replace your existing tracker with a new one, or if use more than one tracker and want to have them both on the same account, choose a section below. If you’re replacing one tracker with another of the same model, you’ll be asked to confirm the replacement.

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
  2. Tap Devices.
  3. Tap the + icon in the top right corner.
  4. If you're replacing a tracker, tap the tracker you want to replace. If you're setting up a new tracker, tap Add a new Device.
  5. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.

Hope this helps

Thank you for this. The thing is that I used my mobile as a device, and it does not pop up when I click the + sign for new devices.

So maybe I just need to create a new account and when I say "join Fitbit" mark again "no device".

No need to create another account @DisaDragon as you have to start over when creating another account.

Feel free to contact the support team, mention what you've already tried to speed things up.
