Music control used to work with my new Moto Z phone (Telus activated) until it got the 7.0 Android Nougat update. Now the Muisc Control section in the watch pulldown drawer will contiually cycle between 'Connecting' and 'Loading Music' but never actually stop on what music is playing.
I've tested with both Spotify app and the Google Music app, with the same results.
Customer Support did inform me that my phone is 'unsupported' currently. Considering this is one of maybe 4 to 5 flagship phones on the market, especially on the newest Android verson, I really do hope they push a fix for this quickly...

A warm welcome to the Community @evan_h. As mentioned, Moto Z is not a compatible mobile device and that's the reason why you are having problems with the music control feature. You can try the steps provided in this post but keep in mind that it won't work 100%.
Catch you later. ![]()
Best AnswerIt's doing the same thing on my Moto Z Force. I've never had it work but I believe I was using a charge hr pre-update. I really do hope they add support for it soon.
Best AnswerFitbit as the bare minimum should be supporting all current and previous year flagships; I have a Moto Z as well and it never works properly with Fitbit.
Seriously though, you would think the Google Pixel would be higher on their priority list and as they haven't added it then what chance has Moto got?
