My App will no longer find my Alta

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For months everything worked great until Two weeks ago. My ZTE Zmax pro will no longer connect to my Fitbit Alta. It says that the app can not find my device. I've tried uninstalling the app, resetting my Fitbit, shutting everything down and restarting. I've attempted to delete the device and re install it. Before it would sync, show me who was calling, and what text I get... Now it's not doing anything. I know it'll connect with an iPhone with no issues but my android, nothing. Is it the App?

Hello @FeliciaWise, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community. I've seen you have tried different solutions on your own. Please give it a try to the steps from this post to clear the cache of the app.

Once you have clear the cache try the troubleshooting steps for syncing issues. For more details please review the following post: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).

Hope this helps, see you around!

No it didn't work.. also when I checked to see if my phone was compatible, it's not listed. How was my phone compatible before but not now?

Hello @FeliciaWise, thank you for keep me posted, My apologies for not being around lately. I can see you have tried the suggestions with no success to correct the issue.

In this case since the phone is not compatible it wont meant it doesn't work with Fitbit, but we cannot guarantee what would be the behavior in some functions. Unless the phone OS does not longer support the newest Fitbit app versions, is not common that we remove the phone from the compatibility list.

My recommendation is to sync via a device listed as supported or using a computer.

See you until the next one.

Yeah, that's basically what I'm doing now.. but I miss being able to see who's calling or texting me through my Fitbit. That's the only downfall. If I could afford a different phone, I'd get it in a heartbeat but for now I'm stuck with this one 😞 when do you think the app will be compatible with all phones?

Hello @FeliciaWise, I'm sorry to hear the notifications are not working. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, for the same reason we do not have a estimated timeframe of when is going to be available as compatible.

Keep an eye open for future updates!
