I'm wondering if it's related to the latest software update with fitbit. My fitbit app keeps telling me that I need to update to the latest fitbit software, but yet it won't sync to do this. I can't see any of my steps, sleep, etc for the past two days.
I've tried turning off the Wi-Fi and bluetooth and restarting them. I've restarted the phone and also done a complete turning off of the phone. I've followed instructions about the safe mode in the phone. Not sure I totally understand that, however. Now what? Help!

Thanks for taking the time to go through all of those steps before posting in here.
From what I can see you have already covered a lot of the possibilities. Nevertheless, I'd like to recommend that you try going through all of the steps listed in this help article. Most of them you have already tried but I'd like for you to try them all in order once more. If that doesn't work we'll look at other alternatives to get your Fitbit to sync to your S8.
