Earlier this evening my Fitbit charge 3 told me it had a low battery. As soon as I was able to put it on the charger. I was getting ready to go to bed and I saw a 🙂 so I thought that it was charged... I took it off the charger and it started to freak out. It was going from the main screen do the notification and screen wake page to the info page and back. It was vibrating on every change and I couldn't get to the screen to restart it. I did a hard reset with the button and I got the 🙂 again... I have since done this three or four different times and there's been no change. I already had to have this one replaced last Summer because overheated to the point of almost burning my wrist and then the screen went black and wouldn't come back on (although I now know how to fix that). So that they replaced it because I only had it for 6 months... Now I have had this one about 8 or 9 months.... I clean it regularly and I restart it from time to time.... I need help!

Update: this morning it is still freaking out when off the charger, however once I get it on the charger and try a hard reset, it just stops when the loading line is full and does nothing... And i mean it was like that from my last post (last last night) until I woke up several hours later, and it didn't charge at all the entire time.

If your Charge 3 device is less than one year from date of activation, then Fitbit should replace it free of charge. You can initiate the process via online chat or by phone. I recently had to do that with a defective Charge 3 device of my own.
If it's been longer than one year since device activation, you might be able to order another one at a slight discount, but I would defer to whatever the customer service people tell you.
Hope everything works out for you.

Mine is doing this today and it's also draining the battery. I've had to charge it 3 times today. I did contact customer service but wait on them to get back to me

So mine stopped freaking out, for the most part, but there are so many blank lines on the screen I can barely read it (after changing the clock face), as of this weekend, the battery doesn't even charge... AT ALL... And when I talked to customer service on live chat last week it could down to needing a new one... Not totally sure I want to bother with Fitbit again seeing as I only get MAYBE 6 or 7 months out of them before they start going down hill (the one I have now was a replacement that I received in July because it started acting up in late May and I had gotten it in Jan. This also means, that even though I have only had it 7 or 8 months, because it was already replaced I have to now spend money to get a new one because I am not eligible for a warranty--which I suppose is fair).
