Have you tried rebooting your phone?  Sometimes that works for me.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

same with mine, see's it, tries to sync, then just comes with with a 500 error, iPhone, nokia 7+, MacBook.... tried reconnecting, now the fitbit is not connected to the account at all.....
