Unable to add a device to Fitbit (Android) app

I don't know what happened to my Fitbit app (paired with my Blaze) on Android, but it just wouldn't sync today. Following the tips in this community forum, I tried every recommendation (restart tracker, turn off/on Bluetooth, uninstall Fitbit app, etc) to no avail. Finally I removed the Blaze from my profile in the Fitbit app. After restarting my phone and reinstalling the Fitbit app, now I couldn't add a device anymore! It keeps telling me that the fitbit.com is down for maintenance.

Anybody who can help in this situation? I tried clearing cache (in the Apps settings of my Android phone), clearing all data, uninstall, reinstall, turn off Bluetooth, turn on, whatever. Nothing. And it's funny that I even tried not to log in after reinstalling the Fitbit app; I just went straight to the "Join" button but when I do so, it wouldn't even let me select my Fitbit device from a list; it would just go and tell me that fitbit.com is down for maintenance.

Any ideas folks? I'm starting to regret my purchase.

I tried this morning (27 Sep) again and finally it worked. Whew. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.
