My flex won't connect

I got a new fit but flex for Christmas. Recently I've tried to sync it to the android app, but it says that the device isn't found - while it's on my wrist and the phones in my hand. I then unpaired the flex from my account, thinking that I could just reconnect it, but it still isn't working.
Please help!
