Need a cycling exercise option

Have had Fitbits for a few years now, but there is still not a cycling option when tracking exercise, is this ever going to be added? My old Polar unit supported this along with the Cardio Trainer app, but CardioTrainer is no longer supported and I really don't want to start a new app just for this? Please advise.

Thanks

If you mean the tracking from the app then yes, there is no such option. You can use tracking using the watch as the "Bike" exercise. If your tracker uses connected GPS then it will use your mobile phone to obtain GPS data. On the other hand, I don't mind using different hardware and software. Call me crazy but when I cycle I start tracking using PolarBeat ( using chest strap ), Strava ( same chest strap for HR ), Suunto watch ( and 3rd connection to my chest strap ) and Ionic. However, I agree requests have been ignored by Fitbit (not first ones, not last ones). I wouldn't expect implementing Bike tracking from within the app ( as far as I remember there's only walk, hike and run? ).

Thanks, I was not aware that there was a 'Bike' exercise listed on the watch, I just got a new model (Charge 3) and don't remember my Charge 2 having that, but I'll give it a try. I do have a Polar Chest Strap, but I have found the Charge 2/3 to be very accurate for my needs, so I stopped using it.. In any case I will try out the Bike exercise from the watch along with the GPS tracking and see if that is what I was after.

Thanks for the advice!
