New Fitbit came with history?

I just got my first Fitbit, and after syncing to my phone there are years of historical data. the data is the same for every day, but I would like to clear all of the history and just start from now since it's new. Anyone know what the issue is, or how I can clear it?

What you are seeing is probably just BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you are always burning just by being alive.  They are credited even when you ware not wearing the tracker.

They also show up backwards in history as far as you look, no way to get rid of them.

See How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I agree with @JohnnyRow , these will be your BMR calories. They are calculated purely from your profile settings for gender, age, weight etc so if you look at a day in the past then it will be able to calculate what your total BMR calories for that day would have been. They are not stored so can't be removed.
