Hi there @RTB1, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! If the issue still persists, I recommend cleaning the charging contacts on the back of your tracker. I know your tracker is quite new but this might be something that will help you to resolve the charging issues.
Use a toothpick or toothbrush to clean the charging contacts; do not scrape them with anything metal because this can damage the plating and result in corrosion.
If is not helping to charge your tracker, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub and check the alignment and try reconnecting your tracker to the charging cable.
Other solution I would like to recommend is to try a restart. This might do the trick to resolved this issue. For more details the following post will come handy.
Let me know how it goes. Hope this helps.
