I have just set up my brand new Fitbit and it's currently saying I have already taken 166 steps and burnt 1,288 calories. Can you please let me know how I reset this to start from zero?

Hello @KChristie,

Welcome to the community!

This is normal.

The calories are just your BMR and assuming that it's relatively late in the day, they're just the calories that you'll burn by breathing.  If you go to your activies page and click on 'calories burned', you'll see that you have been burning calories since midnight at a constant rate.

By virtue of simply powering up your Fitbit (when you plugged it in to charge) and moving it around, you'll easily get 166 steps.  I wouldn't worry about them.  If you use the default 10k step goal for the day, that's less than 1.7% of your daily goal.

I hope this helps.
