New Phone

I have a quick question.  I just upgraded my phone to the LG Power which just got released in October 2015. Will it be supported?  I already checked the list of supported devices, but the list I found seems to be an older list.  Here are the specs of my phone:

1.) It runs Android OS

2.) The OS runs 5.0

3.) To be more specific, the model is LG L22C

If someone could post an updated list of supported devices that would be great!

@DramaQueenDiva,

Well, while it is comforting to know that your device is definitely supported, the device list is effectively a list of devices that are guaranteed to work, not the complete list of devices which will work.

In other words, just because a device is not on the list, doesn't mean it's not supported.  There are new phones released every week.  It's just not practical to spend the $100's per device each week to verify that it works.  What I advise people to do is to simply install the Fitbit App on the demo phone at the store; you can verify that it works then and uninstall the App.

Have you installed the Fitbit App on your phone?  Can you tell us if it works?

@DramaQueenDiva,

The easiest way to figure this out is to install the Fitbit App and log in.  Honestly, if it supports Bluetooth 4.0, I'd be surprised if it didn't.

I hope this helps.

That's what I was thinking. I keep finding different lists but hopefully they keep updating the List Of Supported Devices to keep up with the technology available. Push comes to shove I can always install it and just synch from my computer, but it's much easier to just do it from my phone.

I haven't yet as I haven't activated the phone.  I got the phone at Wal-Mart, they don't let you "play" with the phones as such.

I was able to install it, but it keeps having issues with synching even after a reset.  It says "tracker not found"....

@DramaQueenDiva,

Do you still have your old phone?  If so your Fitbit may be connected to it instead.  Turn off bluetooth on all your other devices (and unplug the dongle from your computer) and try again.

It sounds like your phone supports bluetooth LE, so the chances are good that it will sync.

I don't have access to my old phone anymore but I turned the bluetooth off before I turned it off. I unplugged my dongle and still nothing. It said it connected on my new phone this morning, but since I wasn't wearing my tracker it didn't sync my steps. Yet my smartwatch syncs no problem...

I was able to verify this morning that the Bluetooth on my old phone is off.  I've done 4 resets, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and have logged in and out about 4 times and still nothing from the phone.  I can sync from my computer fine and when I tried again this morning, it said that it was connected to my Flex, however, I forgot that I took it off when I went to bed last night so no steps were tracked.  I've done everything I can think of from my end in terms of troubleshooting.  FitBit, please help!

It seems to be working now, I just sunk from my phone twice but I had to set my Flex up as a new device which took over 10 min. to do because it wouldn't sync.  So I won't say the issue is resolved yet unless I can sync from my phone tomorrow, but my device seems to be supported so anyone else who gets the LG Power (LG's answer to the iPhone 6) it SEEMS to be compatible.  So I guess the powers that be can add that to their next updated "List Of Supported Devices" if mine keeps continuing to sync.
