New dashboard for android

Apologises if this question has been asked and answered. However, I have seen that a new dashboard has been available for IOS phones for over a month now and also seen windows has it as well. Are fitbit doing the new dashboard layout for android? And if so, any date lined up? I mainly ask this as when trying to sync previous days the dashboard never updates, only updates the current day.

Thanks.

@TheMag Welcome to the Community! Yes, the new Dashboard will be available for Android as well in the next few months. However, currently it's only available for iOS.

If your data isn't updating, please make sure that you have the latest version of the app which is 2.28. Also, you can try logging out of the app and force quitting it.

Hope I can see you around Robot Happy

Will we want it for the Android once we get it?  I've noticed quite a few iOS users don't particularly like it....you have to be careful what you ask for, you might get it!  Smiley Happy

@SunsetRunner The android platform is the only platform with this dashboard, iOS and windows have a new fancier dashboard that matches the web dash board it looks cleaner and definitely more modern.

what is going on? I understand android is more complex but it has been over 4 months. I would have thought if you had a team working in this it wouldn't take such a long period of time. The time period and no due date can only mean your not actually working on it, it isn't a priority or your planning in changing it again shortly? plz explain.

I agree with your point of view. I am a software developer myself and though creating software does take time and with the QA checking - I still would have thought a version would be available now or at least an update. Though the current version still shows the same things, the iphone version is more sleek and actually is faster to refresh. Any updates please fitbit?

At this point I'd just like my app to stop crashing... Everytime I try to track exercise... Fitbit this is very annoying..
Best Answer

That seems unusual, @Pintsize40. I have been using the Fitbit app on my Android phone since last December, and it hasn't crashed once.  Have you tried uninstalling the app, shutting down the phone, turning the phone back on and re-installing the app? It may have gotten corrupted when it was installed.

Yes I've tried all those things, it only started as of the last update I
think it was weeks ago. Ive been InTouch with Fitbit and they have said
they are aware and working on a solution, I was told it would be fixed by
last Friday... No stop crashing. So frustrating, they think it's too do
with Android 7.

Yes, please, please, please!  Update the Android Dashboard like the iOS Dashboard.  I've been waiting and waiting and I have the Samsung Note 7 which I knowww the new fitbit Dashboard will look even more killer on than on the iOS because of the display but I'm so frustrated with waiting for months now that I'm almost wanting to buy and iPhone 7 Plus just to get that freaking dashboard on the bigger phone but I love my Note 7 and Android much better.  Please think a bit more about us Android users.  iOS gets everything first! *insert temper tantrum here* hehe

Thank you for letting me vent!

It is interesting seeing posts on the iOS forum asking Fitbit to go back to the older dashboard, and then seeing the posts on this Android forum asking to upgrade to the same dashboard that iOS already has. I guess you just can't please all of the people all of the time....   Smiley Happy

I have the new dash, it was the reason I got rid of my iPhone and now it's on Android   Man Sad

It's useless for anone who likes to reflect on older data at a glance or who wants to diligently track weight loss as it tells you what you've lost not what's left to lose.

I'll look for or start a feature request and ask that, along with many disgruntled IOS users, they listen to the feedback.

@mond259 @TheMag @USAF-Larry @Poo As @gdio53 mentioned, the new Dashboard design for Android is currently only available to our external closed beta group. We currently have the beta group closed, but some of you old school Fitbit beta users, were able to get in before we closed the group to the public.

For those of you in the beta, feel free to share your feedback so I can pass it along. I will have a more concrete timeline to share with you all when I get a confirmed release date. We're taking our time to make sure the features are all working up-to-par. Thank you in advance!

@Pintsize40 The issue with the app crash while on Android Nougat will be resolved with the Fitbit app update, version 2.35. You can follow my updates for the timeline of the release here.

New dashboard on Android - Can one not access "active minutes" on this new dashboard?  My "active minutes" goal is my main daily focus.  I just love that feature but I don't see it on the new dashboard so I immediately switched back.

@Shuttle27- Are these not the active minutes?
