I recently got a new samsung S7 as my old iphone screen smashed and i cant disble the fit bit from my old phone.

I downloaded the fitbit app on my new phone and then removed and tried to re-add my fit bit alta and it wont recognise it. I have tried resetting the fit bit, redownloading the app, made sure my bluetooth and location are on....please HELP!

Hello @Tpol! A very warm welcome to the Community.

I'll help you get this straightened out. Are you still able to see on the other mobile's screen? If so I'd recommend that you try to go into the Bluetooth settings and remove the Alta from there. After that it should let you sync with your S7.

If that is not an option, we could try to restart the alta. In order to do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Begin charging your Fitbit Alta.
  2. Press the button on your charging cable three times within eight seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer.
  3. Eight seconds after the first button press, you'll see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This means Alta is restarting.
  4. After you see the logo you can unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

After the restart, give it another shot and the Alta should being syncing with your new mobile device.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
