Pairing Error Message

I cannot get my ZIP to sync with my Galaxy S 3.  It has worked sporadically in the past if I kept restarting my phone or turned Blue Tooth off then on.  No luck.  Now I have tried scanning for available devices on Blue Tooth, then I click on ZIP, but when it tries to pair, I get this message:  Error:  Unable to communicate with ZIP.  What else can I do?  I don't want to lose my steps....

Hello @gl1964! A very warm welcome to the Forums.

Let me help you get your Fitbit to sync. It is important to remember that the Zip will not pair with the S3 itself, the only way to do it would be through the Fitbit app itself. The best way to go about it would be to get into the app itself and run the setup that way:

  1. Open the app and then go into the account tab.
  2. Select 'Set Up a New Device'
  3. Follow the instructions there and your Zip should be setup once again so that it syncs.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
