Nexus6p steps mismatch in different challenges

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Fitibit friend that has a Nexus 6p and ChargeHR— in one challenge  he currently has 23,000 steps from yesterday+today step totals. However in another challenge after 2 days there are ZERO steps shown. So his steps are properly syncing from the device to the app since the dashboard steps and another challenge shows the accurate steps. However, in a second challenge no steps at all. He has already tried quitting and rejoining the group to see if the steps show up an nothing! Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

Hi there @MzP, good to see you around! Certainly this is not a normal behavior as you are describing your friend' steps are syncing fine in one of the challenges.

Tell your friend the challenge begins and ends in the challenge owner's time zone, so if he is in a different time zone than the challenge owner, you may notice that your challenge leaderboard stats do not always match your dashboard stats.

The other workaround would be to reset the app:

Tell him to log out from the Fitbit app and open his phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in the downloaded apps list. Once he is there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting the phone. When his phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

Hope this helps. See you later!

Thank you @RobertoME, I will pass these tips to my friend. At first I thought the same thing as well that the time zone of the person inviting dictactes when the individual participant’s begin to be tracked in the challenge. I could understand this could have happened within a 24 hr period however in this case after 2 full days there were 0 (zero) steps for this person in one challenge yet on a second challenge this person had 24,000 steps recorded. So if this was the case re different zones you would see differences in the numbers but not likely 0 vs 24,000 steps. He also tried leaving the challenge then accepting the invite again and still there were no steps accrued after 2 full days of the challenge in progress nor for that day after he joined back in. It was not until the 3rd day that steps of 4,000 in the one challenge finally posted while the other challenge already have about 32,000 recorded.  I appreciate your help @RobertoME 🙂
