None of my runs this week have maps. No times per mile. This is key functionality here.
I'm not aware of settings changing on the phone and FitBit has access to location.
App version 3.3.
Device: Charge 3 F/W version 28.20001.88.11
Phone: Google Pixel 3

Anyone else seeing this?
I have the same problem with my Google Pixel 2 -- after updating to Andriod 11. It also won't sync no matter what I do either. Did you get the Android 11 update in the last week or two?
To get GPS to work I have to keep my phone out, unlocked, and the FitBit app open. As soon as a close the app or screen lock it, my tracker will indicate that the GPS connection with my phone is gone.
Best AnswerYes, I've had one run this week like that: straight-lines and three with no maps at all. I'm wondering if that's weather related.
Best AnswerI have the same issue. Started since I bought 2 days ago a new Fitbit sense. There seems to be a bug only for the android app because I'm able to see it from the dashboard through the web. Also, iPhone users are not affected by this.
Yes, affecting me as described. Went for a long walk but not map did not sync. I have Versa 2 and my phone is Google Pixel 2 XL.
Edit to clarify: it has worked fine in the past. Seems to have stopped working in last week or so.
Best AnswerI am having this problem with my Versa 2. I think it coincided with my update to Android 11. Not only are my runs not showing GPS, I also noticed that, when starting my run, GPS signal would not be found unless I launched the FitBit app.
I just checked the app permissions and Location was set to "Allow only while using the app"! I changed it to "Allow all the time" and my hope is that this solves the issue.
I'm guessing Google decided to increase security defaults with Android 11 and changed the Location settings for some apps automatically. Crossing my fingers that changing the settings does the trick
I have a Versa 3. No built in GPS.
And just straight lines this week.
Broken for me on Versa 3 and others on Versa 2. Different phones.
Please fix this Fitbit.
Best AnswerI'm still on Android 10 and have the issue.
Just changed location permission to all the time. I never noticed what it was before when it worked. Worth a try.
Best AnswerHad the same problem and this was indeed thr solution! Fitbit needs access to location all the time (aparently) . And since i corrected this no more gps problems!!!!
I have a similar issue. Just updated to Android 11. When starting a run or bike activity from the Fitbit device, as soon as the phone's screen is off, the Charge 2 loses connection to the phone and is unable to track the location. But as soon as I turn on the phone, it reconnects to phone. I have no issues tracking a run activity from the Fitbit app.
Best AnswerDid anyone ever get this resolved? It's also happening to me on Charge 3. Used to work perfectly with my Samsung S7 but doesn't seem to want to work with my S10. First run it showed the map but just a dot on it. Did the splits ok. But today, no map and no splits ?
Best Answer@Sarah-Crow Is your Location permissions set to "Allow all the time" for the Fitbit app?
My issue is with Android 11 and it was acknowledged by Fitbit support when I contacted them. They're still working on it. I'm not sure if the S10 has Android 11.
