Anyone else having issues with the app and android 7.1.1 I've got a Google pixel which I know isn't supported but my wife has a nexus 6p. We both have the same issues. Non of our friend are showing up on the app, however they show up under Fitbit.com. Can't add friends and of course messaging isn't working. I've sent emails and chatted with support with no help so far.

Yes, and more people have this issue and it is not being posted. Please see my thread. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Friends-list-missing/m-p/1662229#U1662229
Basically this is what I have figured is going on. Anyone who has had their accounts before they made some major changes around October will have this issue. Some people may not realize they are having issues, but will find that they will not be able to add new friends, or may have issues sending and receiving messages on the app. If you decide to unistall the app, reinstall and sign back in again, all your friends will be missing and you will not be able to invite your friends, send messages, or start challenges. My husbands theory is that when they created the new optional look for the android, they did not copy all the necessary files. I have been complaining about this for a while and it doesn't look like they are doing anything about it. The only thing I could do was create a new account. Everything will work fine on new accounts. You just will haveto start all over again, which I have found to be a huge pain. I hope this helps.

Got a Fitbit zip and I'm on Android 7.1.2 w Nexus 6P. GPS stopped working and the Nexus 6P forums say it's bc of fitbit. Ihad to uninstall the Fitbit app. I'd really like to use my Fitbit again. If anyone has a solution please share.

@CarlakaiserThere are bugs in MobileRun (Exercise tracking).. The issues are
1. If you pause and resume and pause etc (multiple pauses) and Finish there is a good chance your maps wont save..
2. If you only pause at the end and Finish your maps will probably save.
I'm having no problems on Android 7.1.1 on a Sony with option 2.... Option 1 always fails..
You can do your tests with a minimum of 1 minute to see what works for you..
In saying that, some users are having issues with both options.. Also you will notice when you finish a run/walk/hike the map is there, but zero pace. If you have a successful save and sync the data/maps will be there..on your phone.
I tested my system with MapMyRun and that worked perfectly and matched an Option 2 Fitbit App concurrently.

@Carlakaiser If your problem is what I posted in my previous post, there are many pages in this link
The suggestion is to go to apkmirror and install App V2.42.. But read the posts first...

Hey Colin,
Cool, thanks for the links, I'll check those out.
FWIW, I don't think the problem is limited to GPS function within the Fitbit ecosystem. When I noticed the problem, the Fitbit app was preventing Waze from accessing my GPS data. As soon as I uninstalled the Fitbit app, problem solved.

Bug
App on Samsung Galaxy S5 running Android 6.0.1
Mobile Tracker does not retain journey data if there is a pause in the journey.
Procedure to reproduce the error
This is not a new feature. The use of a Pause button implies that a journey may be interrupted. There is a bug if Pause causes the app to lose data. Whichever process is failing, then that process needs to end gracefully rather than lose system integrity, which is currently the case.
