No phone widget for Fitbit app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So, after the last phone app update there is no longer a Fitbit widget! No Fitbit widgets at all in the widget drawer! Why were they removed? It was helpful to see steps or other stats right on the phone without opening the app.

Did you try to restart the phone, just in case they are still there somewhere?

Hi Guy,

Thanks for the suggestion.  Yes, I have restarted my phone, at least twice.  And no the widgets are NOT there.

How odd, probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you with a solution.

I'm not sure "Support'" can help.  I contacted via chat and the guy knew NOTHING about apps  I talked about it being on the phone and he kept insisting it was on the Versa 2.  I asked to talk with someone else and all he did was ignore the request and try asking what the Versa 2 was doing.  NO HELP.

@Guy_ Thank you for the assistance offered.

@bstirling Hi there. Thanks for the troubleshooting performed and the details mentioned.

Your feedback about our Support team is appreciated, we're always striving to improve our services offered. I'd like to clarify that the Fitbit widget is still available to users. Let's try the following troubleshooting:

- Log out from the Fitbit app
- Clear the app cache
- Log back in and try to add the widget to your phone

If you're still experiencing this, let me know the phone model and OS installed.

Hope this helps.

Hi SIlvia,

Unfortunately, this didn't work. I logged out of the app and there are
still NO widgets at all for Fitbit. The

My phone is a Samsung Note 8 and I'm running Android 9.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Hi Silvia,

So the way it finally corrected was to totally uninstall, reboot the phone,
and reinstall. Likely the upgrade had a problem on my phone and something
must have been corrupted. All is well now.

Regarding the chat suggestion. Given the recent experience with it, it was
NOT helpful. The Community option or a phone call are likely better
choices.
