No sleep stages

My Alta HR has only calculated my sleep stages twice in the last three weeks. I am not doing anything differently, my device is charged, and I have already tried restarting it.

I've had my device since last Summer, but could it be defective?

I am also having problems with my Alta HR not recording sleep stages. I got it the middle of February and it had been working fine until the 5th of April. It just quit recording sleep stages and I had not changed anything. I have done everything support told me to do but it still doesn't work.

For my Alta HR it seems the sleep stages also don't work, and never did. It is less than a month old.

I've reinstalled the app, removed it from my bluetooth devices, restarted it and reconnected it.. don't know what else to try

I discovered that you need to wear your Fitbit very high up on your arm.
When they say 2 fingers above your wrist make it 2 very fat fingers. I did
that and my Fitbit has been working fine...most nights.

Hope that helps!

I have tried different positions but it doesn't help. It tracks my hart rate just fine during the night ...

-- edit: I also tried to enable the sensitive option, but that just reduces the amount of hours that count as sleep since it registers more restless times.
